I have been involved since I was young playing high school football. At fourteen I started to develop my love of bodybuilding. I have competed in many NPC shows, from local events to State Level Competitions, even traveling to compete across the Southeast . Most notably, in 2011 I was Mens’ Overall Bodybuilding Champion in the Clash at the Capstone in Tuscaloosa. Aside from my love of bodybuilding, it is a passion of mine to guide individuals in their own transformation and to uncover the potential that they may not know what they possess. I love working with athlete, those ready to change their appearance, and those looking to become healthier. My other interests, in addition to athletics, include growing and maintaining a vegetable garden, cooking, black coffee, cheesecake, and my dog Snyper.

My passion for sports has always been with me as I grew up playing team sports all through high school. My fire for being in a weight room was first sparked by my older brother, because you know I always had to tag along. That intensity get even more through the years of schooling, I was fortunate for the teachers I had. Their passion for teaching and absolute knowledge of human anatomy and biomechanics truly resonated with me. I was blessed to have the opportunity to attend the University of Alabama where I obtained my Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology, along with the experiences of teaching and performing research studies in Body Composition. With all this I strive everyday to help anyone and everyone in their own personal fitness goals, whatever that may be.

Personal Bio:

For as long as I can remember I have always loved being active whether it was playing outside or being involved in sports. Growing up I played volleyball, softball, golf, and was an avid runner through high school and college. I found my passion for strength training in high school during strength and conditioning for sports. I decided to pursue my passion for health and fitness and completed my degree in Exercise Science at the University of Alabama. In my final year at the university I found my calling as a head coach working with athletes of all ages; I assisted with a combine group of college and professional football athletes in preparation of combine and pro-days. To this day, I love to train and help others reach their goals whatever it may be. I also love food, cooking, treats, paddle boarding, and soaking in the sun. My goal is to inspire and facilitate a positive environment where we all find confidence, good health, and overall wellness.

Personal Bio:

I discovered a love of the gym when I played softball in high school. Once I started college, I competed in everything from 5ks to half marathon, as running was what I was best at on my softball team.  I still run, but I transitioned into weight lifting, where I found my true passion. My love of physical fitness and cognitive psychology overlap in many areas; in the classes I teach at UA, I often discuss the importance of physical activity not only for a healthy body, but for emotional, cognitive, and mental health as well. Being that I believe physical activity is so important for overall health and wellbeing, especially as one ages, I particularly like working with those just beginning a  fitness journey, the mature clientele, and and those who not only wish to gain physical benefits but also confidence in themselves and their abilities. WhenI am not in the gym or teaching psychology courses I enjoy traveling, concerts, sushi, critiquing my husband’s bodybuilding poses,  drinking coffee with my family, gardening, home projects, and talking to my dog, Snyper, like he’s a real person.

Alabama Cheerleading exposed me to strength and conditioning for athletes. Throughout the years, running and nutrition have become my passion. What I love  most about running, fitness and nutrition is the input output ratio. What you put in, you will get out. As a Physical Education Teacher and Personal Trainer, my biggest focus is creating healthy habits by finding a workout style that each person loves. In addition to creating habits, I enjoy helping people reach their goals, from performance and looks, to internal function and feeling.
